We help your little one unwind tightness and find more freedom in their body through gentle movements, manual therapies, and simple routines that fit naturally into your day.
Utilizing gentle movement & positioning, bodywork, nervous system-focused activities, and parent/family education, we help babies release tension, build strength, and find comfort in their growing bodies.
Reasons to come to see us include:
Flat head shape (plagiocephaly)
Head-turning preference or head tilt (torticollis)
Difficulty during tummy time
Arching or stiff/tight movements
Challenges with early motor milestones
Discomfort & fussiness
Oral Motor & Pre/Post Oral Ties Therapy
Babies often can present with one sided preference due to a multitude of factors. We complete a full developmental evaluation, assessing milestones, oral function, body symmetry, reflexes, and nervous system regulation.
We specialize in preparing families and babies for optimal readiness for frenectomy procedures through nervous system-focused therapies, manual therapies/bodywork, education, and targeted exercises that improve tongue mobility and oral function.
Using a combination of myofascial release, craniosacral techniques, oral-motor strengthening & coordination, oral-sensory applications, and whole-body care, we provide therapy for infants who are struggling with oral ties (lip tie, tongue tie, buccal/cheek ties) to help your baby feed more comfortably and efficiently with a bottle or at the breast.
Reasons to come to see us include:
Breastfeeding or bottle feeding difficulties, including poor latch or low suction
Inefficient milk transfer, prolonged feeds, or slow weight gain
Limited tongue or jaw mobility affecting feeding mechanics
Oral motor weakness impacting sucking, swallowing, and/or coordination
Body tension patterns (jaw, neck, shoulders) that interfere with feeding
Pre frenectomy evaluation to assess tongue and lip tie function and prepare for optimal release outcomes
Post frenectomy therapy to improve tongue mobility, reduce compensations, and support effective feeding after release
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Body tension refers to areas in a baby’s body that feel tight, restricted, or unbalanced. You might notice stiffness, arching, difficulty turning the head, or discomfort in certain positions. It’s common, but treatable with gentle manual therapy/bodywork and nervous system strategies.
-
Body tension can come from many sources: positioning in the womb, a fast or assisted birth, tongue or lip ties, or even simply how a baby feeds or sleeps. These experiences can influence how their muscles and nervous system develop.
-
A medical diagnosis isn’t required to benefit from therapy. Many families come to therapy simply because something feels “off.”
If your baby is uncomfortable, struggling to feed, not meeting milestones, or you have concerns about your infant’s development, therapy can help restore balance, comfort, improve oral and gross motor skills, and provide your family with confidence.
-
Pediatricians often focus on medical conditions or milestones that fit within specific guidelines, and sometimes early signs of tension or feeding difficulties don’t appear on those checklists.
We take a functional whole-baby approach, looking at how your baby moves, feeds, and feels in their daily life. Development is built on the foundation of early intervention!
-
We’ll always share what we observe and help you understand how oral tension or tethered tissues may be affecting feeding or comfort, but we would refer you to a provider who specializes in doing frenectomy procedures for that. Our role is to educate, support, and collaborate with your care team so you can make the choice that feels right for your family. Many babies improve significantly with therapy and bodywork alone, while others benefit from a combined approach.
-
Absolutely. You’re the most important part of your baby’s care. We work together through every step to help you understand your baby’s cues, learn techniques, and feel more confident supporting them at home. Sessions are collaborative and hands-on!
-
Yes! Home visits may be available depending on location, and they do have a travel fee to cover costs for gas and travel time. Please reach out to ask about your area. Our goal is to make care as comfortable and accessible as possible for your family.
-
Please see our Insurance, Pricing, & Clinic FAQs page for our most up-to-date information on insurance coverage.
-
Sure! You don’t need a referral to schedule an evaluation with us. Many families come to therapy simply because they’ve noticed feeding challenges, tension, or delays in movement. If we find that additional referrals would be helpful, we’ll support you in that process.
-
That’s actually really helpful! Feeding, soothing, and resting are part of how babies regulate and show us what their bodies need. We adapt each session to your baby’s cues, using those moments to observe, guide, and support comfort in real time.
